Originally from Altoona, Pennsylvania, Buddy studied at Georgia Southern University and later completed a master certification in project management at Boston College. After entering the industry in the early 1980s, he went on to design and build more than 250 custom homes across Hilton Head Island and the Greater Greenville area of South Carolina. His early understanding of the value of design precision and construction efficiency led to industry recognition, with two of his builds honored by the South Carolina Home Builders Association's prestigious Pinnacle Awards.
A pioneer in sustainable home design, Buddy was ahead of his time in exploring energy efficiency before the Energy Star program became mainstream. His achievements include earning LEED Accredited Professional status through the U.S. Green Building Council, becoming a certified HERS Rater and BPI Green Building professional, and serving as a project manager for the "Help My House" initiative through the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina.
Buddy's career is further enriched by his experience as a certified home inspector through the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), operating a successful inspection company for a decade and performing thousands of inspections. As a licensed real estate professional since 2010, he has seamlessly merged his technical knowledge with his passion for helping customers envision and realize their dream homes.
